FWISD program shows the best walking routes to school

Fort Worth ISD Superintendent Kent P. Scribner joined families from W.J. Turner Elementary to celebrate the campus's Walking School Bus and Safe Routes to School program.

Fort Worth ISD Superintendent Kent P. Scribner greets W.J. Turner Elementary families as part of the campus's Walking School Bus, which encourages children to move naturally on their way to school. W.J. Turner is part of the Safe Routes to School initiative, which is making areas around eight campuses safer for pedestrians, cyclists, and drivers. Walking School Bus and Safe Routes to School efforts are supported by Blue Zones Project, a community-led well-being improvement initiative working to make Fort Worth one of the nation's healthiest cities.
